Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

ts

This implements many API that allow web scraping from the site Mangaworld.

THE API IS CURRENTLY UNDER DEVELOPMENT PLEASE KEEP THE IMPLEMENTATION UPDATED NEW FEATURES AND FIX WILL BE RELEASED

It implements:

  • Getting information of manga and chapters.
  • Searching manga by creating queries and querying the site.
  • Getting page url of chapters.
  • Getting trending manga and new releases.
  • Downloading the chapters. (To be done)

Install

With a correctly configured NodeJS project:

npm install mangaworld

Examples

Info

Let's start by reading a manga by giving in the URL.

import { getMangaFromUrl } from "mangaworld";

getMangaFromUrl('https://www.mangaworld.so/manga/1637/chainsaw-man').then(
    m => {
        //your code here...
    }
)

We have seen how to retrieve Manga type. In its structure you can find many properties and object like the Chapter object

Creting manga object

You can read an object and store it in a variable

const manga = await getMangaFromUrl('https://www.mangaworld.so/manga/1637/chainsaw-man');

Query

Queries are useful for searching for manga using keywords. Right now the only parameter accepted is the title of the manga. Let's see how it works

const manga = await searchMangaByKeywords('one piece');

The searchMangaByKeywords function will return an array of Manga object, if none is find, the array will be empty

Homepage

The homepage functions gives you a list of URLs directly from the homepage. The following functions show how to use it:

// gives you a list of 12 trending manga urls
const trend = await getTrendingMangas();

// gives you the last 16 added manga
const lastAdded = await getLastAddedMangas();

// if you want other 16 just add the
// optional parameter to the function
const otherLastAdded = await getLastAddedMangas(2);

// gives you the top ten popular manga of the last month
const popular = await gtLastMonthPopularMangas();

// if you want to get the object from one of them
// just use the getMangaFromUrl function
const manga = await getMangaFromUrl(popular[0]);
