Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Build Status

This is a simple toolkit for making TAP-compatible output.

Usage

make-tap-output exports a single function, and returns a readable stream with handy methods for generating TAP data from that stream.

It takes in an optional opts object. Currently there's only one possible option, which is count. Setting this to a boolean enables or disables the count number in each test result. The default is true.

Upon construction, it will immediately emit

TAP version 13

on the stream.

Note: This does not "end" the subtest. For that, just use pass or fail above.

Standard?

This module, while helping to produce standard TAP version 13 output, can also produce non-standard output, depending on how you interat with it. For example, if you call plan midway through your tests, that's invalid TAP. It's up to you the user of this module, to use it correctly.
