Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

many of the materials included in this pack can be a difficult mesh to work with, as they contain a lot of fine detail. most of them are designed to have a high amount of detail in a small area, which can make building a material with them very difficult. to work with some of these materials effectively, we have made them available in an untextured or shareable format - allowing you to work with them more easily, using any 3d paint tool or 3d printer.

the best way to describe a material is in terms of the world that it creates: dense hard edges, high plasticity, soft blends, sharp shadows, it can be created to be used in many different lighting setups, in any style of art, that can create a wide range of effects, ambiences, and aesthetics.

this pack is made up of four different materials, which weve worked hard to achieve the best realism possible in each. they have all been designed to have realistic transformations when spinning, as well as having per-pixel brushes:

solid rubber - an elastic, rubberised material, dense and hard enough to be used in creating walls and flooring. no matter how fine or dense you make it, it will deform and recover in such a way that creates a hard, elastic, wall-like surface.

foam - lightweight, impact-resilient, and soft. high detail and sharpness with great reproduction of shadows, reflections and highlights. the softness allows for much more realistic, soft, realistic, and smooth-looking materials.

this is a perfect pack for people not familiar with keyshot key maps but who are nonetheless looking to produce a professional-looking product. this pack includes all of the materials and color presets that the professional keyshot files should give you a good starting point. 84d34552a1
