Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Striking theme

This is a Striking theme for JSON Resume.

Lets go ahead and download a copy of the repository.

Getting started

To get started with theme development, this is what you'll need:

If you're on Linux, you can simply run:

sudo apt-get install nodejs-legacy npm

Or if you're on OSX and got Homebrew installed:

brew install node

Install the command line

We're going to use the official resume-cli to run our development server.

Go ahead and install it:

sudo npm install -g resume-cli

Install npm packages

We need to install the dependencies. cd into the theme folder we just downloaded and run:

sudo npm install

This will read the local package.json and install the packages listed under dependencies.

Serve theme

While inside the theme folder, simply run:

resume serve -t striking

You should now see this message:

Preview: http://localhost:4000
Press ctrl-c to stop

Use theme to generate HTML file

  • Create your resume.json
  • From the command prompt, run
resume export -t striking <name of file>
