Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

jsc8 SDK

Javacript SDK for the Macrometa Global Data Mesh.


⚙️ Installation

  • From NPM
npm install jsc8
  • From source:
git clone https://github.com/macrometacorp/jsc8.git
cd jsc8
npm install
npm run dist

🐺 Enable pre-commit hooks

On every commit we will run pre-commit hooks. Pre-commit hooks are running pretty-quick package that runs prettier code formatting. You can find more about pretty-quick and prettier here. (Option 2.) To enable pre-commit hooks you need to run once:

 npx husky install

🧪 Testing

End-to-end tests can be found in src/tests/. Before first run create .env file in the root of the project. In .env file add variables:

  • URL="<your federation url>"
  • FABRIC="<selected fabric>"
  • API_KEY="<your api key>"

.env file is in .gitignore.

To run tests position yourself in the project's root directory and run:

npm run devtest

🔐 Authentication

Currently, jsc8 supports API Key, JWT token, username and password authentication. Preferred method needs to be passed during client creation. We highly recommend that you use API key or JWT token.
