Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

###jj-parallax-card for Vue

jj-parallax-card is a Vue component to mimic Apple-tv style card. You can modify its size, light effect, and add any other components in its background and foreground to create your own 3d-card(yes youc could embed another parallax card into it). And absolutely it can handle all events like a normal html element, like click and hover. And you can even make it acts completely like a 3d button.

Thanks the implementation idea from codepen

How To Use

  1. install jj-parallax-card via npm

    npm i jj-parallax-card

  2. Import it into your vue component.

    import JJParallaxCard from 'jj-parallax-card'
    components: {
        'jj-parallax-card':JJParallaxCard,
      },
  3. use it in your code

    <jj-parallax-card></jj-parallax-card>

    after set the size of the jj-parallax-card, you could set some properties to do some customisation. Here are the properties and actions you can set

    | Property-name | Type | Description | | ------------- | ------- | ------------------------------------------------------------ | | light-color | String | a hex string to set the light color, default value is white. if you don't want to have a Reflective-light-layer, just set this property to 'transparent' | | click-effect | Boolean | Ture if the card can be clicked down. Set it to true when you want the parallax card acts like a button. Default value is false |

    | Action-name | Description | | ----------- | ------------------------------- | | click | Trigged when clicked that card. |

    your code will be like this

    <jj-parallax-card lightColor="white" :click-effect="true" style="float:left; width: 300px; height: 300px;" @click="click"></jj-parallax-card>
  4. Use slot to set the background and foreground view of the parallax-card

    jj-parallax-card-img-1

    | Type | Sample | | ------------------------------------------------------------ | ----------------------------------- | | slot="front" //this slot will be inserted into the foreground | <img slot="content" src="" alt=""> | | slot="content" //this slot will be inserted into the background | <div slot="front"></div? |

    and off course you can add any components into the slot. Including embedded jj-paralllax-card component like in the gif.

    Your code will be like this

    <jj-parallax-card lightColor="white" style="float:left; width: 300px; height: 300px;" @click="click">
          <img slot="content" src="background.png" alt="">
          <div slot="front">
            <img style="width: 100px; height: 100px;" src="front.png" alt="">
