Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

nibeuplink adapter for ioBroker

The nibeuplink API has been officially discontinued! For this reason, this ioBroker adapter will not be developed any further! Please use the myUplink adapter!

This ioBroker adapter receives data from a Nibe heat pump from Nibe Uplink. This adapter does NOT work with Nibe myUplink! It therefore does NOT work with S-series heat pumps such as Nibe VVM S320.

Using this adapter

  1. You need a Nibe heat pump - buy one if you don't have ;-)
  2. You need an account at Nibe Uplink: https://www.nibeuplink.com/
  3. After logging in you have an URL in this form: https://www.nibeuplink.com/System/XXXXX/Status/Overview
  4. Instead of XXXXX there is a number. This is your System ID. We need this ID.
  5. Go to Nibe Uplink Api: https://api.nibeuplink.com/Account/LogIn and log in
  6. Click "MY APPLICATIONS" and then "Create application"
  7. Fill in: Name and Description can be everything e.g. ioBroker
  8. The Callback URL is important. You can use https://sebilm.github.io/ioBroker.nibeuplink/nibe.html
  9. Accept the NIBE Uplink API Services Agreement and click "Create application"
  10. Then you get an Identifier and a Secret - we need them
  11. Install this adapter in ioBroker
  12. At adapter setting page fill in the Identifier and the Secret.
  13. Click the link "Click here to generate the Auth Code on NIBE Uplink."
  14. Follow the instructions. At the end you get your nibe-fetcher code
  15. Copy this code and paste it in the adapter settings at "Auth Code".
  16. Fill in your System ID from Nibe Uplink URL.
  17. Choose your language.
  18. Click Save and Close

If you (later) get a "400 bad request" error in the log, you must get a new Auth Code - so do numbers 13 until 15 and 18.

Manage/Write Support

It seems you can only change the parameters listet on the following web page:

https://api.nibeuplink.com/docs/v1/Parameters (Settings section)

The parameter "hot_water_boost" is parameter ID 48132.

You can read other values but I think you can't write other values. Other values are here listed:

https://github.com/sebilm/ioBroker.nibeuplink/blob/master/nibe-fetcher.js#L41
