Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Instant Tools

Command Line Tools for assisting with creating instant applications and generating project files.

Installation

$ npm i instant-tools -g

You should now have access to the command instant in terminal.

Usage

In order to execute a command, simply type the name of the command in teminal, after the word instant.

Commands

create

Create a new application.

$ instant create <type> <name> [-i]

type: string - the type of application, e.g 'react' or 'node' name: string - the application name -i: optional - install dependencies after the project templates have been cloned

Example Usage

$ instant create react my-react-app -i

generate

Generate project files. Please ensure you execute this command within an existing project.

$ instant generate <template> <name>

template: string - the template to generate, e.g 'react/ui/component', 'react/ui/container', 'react/redux/module' name: string - the file/variable name to use when creating template
