Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

i-are-dba (in alpha)

Warning: the interface is likely to change during the early stages of development.

I are DBA produces CREATE TABLE SQL statements based on the data to be written to the table.

Supported RDBMS engines:

  • Redshift

Known issues

Due to a shortcoming in node, it is only possible to make the most of the BIGINTEGER type if you pass large numbers as type String. This affects numbers above 9007199254740991 or below -9007199254740991.

Because Redshift does not support the logical maximum value for DECIMAL(19,N), all DECIMAL values have a precision one greater than is (usually) strictly necessary. Work to eek out every last byte of performance might be done in the future.
