Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

NodeJS Library for HoneyTracks

Using the tracking needs a valid account at https://panel.honeytracks.com and the corresponding product ApiKey and SecretKey

Author: coolblade

License: Apache v2

Installing HoneyTracks

npm install honeytracks

require

var HoneyTracks = require('honeytracks');

Setup your honeytracks configuration

HoneyTracks.setup({
    ApiKey: 'YOUR_API_KEY',
    Language: 'en_GB',
    Space: 'default',
    SecretKey: 'YOUR_SECRET_KEY'
};

For a full list of setup options please see the honeytracks docs at docs.honeytracks.com

Initialize honeytracks into your app life cycle

app.use(HoneyTracks.initialize(true));

Setting the first param to true enables cookie support to have module handle UniqueCustomerClickToken. In this case be sure to position the HoneyTracks initialize middleware after the CookieParser middleware. If you wish to handle the UniqueCustomerClickToken yourself you can set this to false and in TrackClick pass in your own UniqueCustomerClickToken in the optional data parameter. Also note that UniqueCustomerIdentifier is not necessary for the TrackClick event, this is useful for new users where the user account id is not yet known/created.

API

trackClick

https://docs.honeytracks.com/wiki/TrackClick/PHP
Tracks a user click and sets a cookie named as HTCTR to track only unique clicks. This method is used for tracking user clicks on ads and will be combined with marketing configured marketing costs.

Among other things this will allow you to optimize game-design for longer user retention. A possible solution for a soccer game could be the league of the user, for strategic build and raid games could be the number of bases/planets or tech tree activations.

Invitation types itself defines for example a neighborhood invitation or gifting. Your application has to ensure that the target link of an invitation contains the InviteType, InviteMessageToken and the unique customer identifier token to get valid analyses of success rates grouped by levels and marketing cohorts.
