Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

ui-kit

The ui-kit UI toolkit is a highly-modular design system for rapid web page development. It contains different materials that can be assembled into more complex page layouts.

Getting Started

ui-kit requires node.js. Make sure your have v0.10 or higher installed before proceeding.

Start the local development environment:

$ npm start

Development Environment Features

  • Live preview sever (using BrowserSync)
  • CSS Autoprefixing
  • Sass compilation
  • Browserify bundling
  • Image optimization

Build

Build for release:

$ npm run build

Fabricator builds both a static documentation site and optimized CSS and JS toolkit files.

The build artifacts output to the dist directory. This can be deployed to any static hosting environment - no language runtime or database is required.
