gulp-json-refactor

Gulp extension for refactoring JSON object structure based on provided rules.

Installation

npm install gulp-json-refactor

Usage

First you have to define refactor rules:

• "a": true - creates new property a
• "a.b": true - creates b as new property of a
• "a": false - removes property a
• "a.b": false - removes property b from a
• "a": "b" - renames property a to b
• "a.b": "c" - moves property b to c

You can provide rules as object or path to file with rules.

Rules defined as object:

var jsonRefactor = require('gulp-json-refactor');

gulp.task('json-refactor', function() {
	return gulp.src('./src/*.json')
		.pipe(jsonRefactor({
            "a.b": true,
            "c.d.e": false
        })
		.pipe(gulp.dest('./dest/'))
});

Rules defined in file:

var jsonRefactor = require('gulp-json-refactor');

gulp.task('json-refactor', function() {
	return gulp.src('./src/*.json')
		.pipe(jsonRefactor('./rules.json'))
		.pipe(gulp.dest('./dest/'))
