Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

🚀 Quick Start

  1. Install Gratis
npm install -g gratis-server
  1. Start server
gratis-server --port 9000 --dburl mongodb://localhost:32770 --log true

To Insert Records:

How to Setup Project in your local environment?

git clone https://github.com/sahithvibudhi/gratis.git
cd gratis
npm install
node index.js

NOTE: Gratis needs a MongoDB server to store the data 💾.

To run it on a specific port. use:

node index.js --port 9000

To pass the database connection URL. use:

node index.js --port 9000 --dburl mongodb://localhost:32770 

To enable logging, use:

node index.js --port 9000 --dburl mongodb://localhost:32770 --log true

Gratis comes with a GUI to create new apps, to enable, use:

node index.js --dburl mongodb://localhost:32770 --log true --dashboard true
