Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Installing

A step by step series of examples that tell you how to get the software running

Get an OpenAI api key

  1. Go to the OpenAI website

  2. Create an account

  3. Navigate to the main screen. It should be something like this when you log in...

  4. Click on "API" and navigate to the "API keys" tab

  5. Generate an api key and save it somewhere, you are going to need it in the next step.

Add the OpenAI api key to your system's env variables

You can use whatever shell and editor you like.

This install assumes a Linux/OSX machine.

Install gpt-cli-tool with npm
