Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Git Fetch Pro

Git Fetch Pro is a CLI tool that allows you to download specific folders from GitHub repositories.

Installation

You can use GitFetchPro in two ways:

1. Using npx (No Installation Required)

You can run GitFetchPro directly without installing it:

npx gitfetchpro <url> [options]

2. Global Installation

To install the package globally using npm:

npm install -g gitfetchpro

Usage

Arguments

  • <url>: GitHub URL of the folder you want to clone.

Options

  • -o, --output <directory>: Specify the output directory. Defaults to the current working directory.

Example

gitfetchpro https://github.com/YugBhanushali/git-fetch-pro/tree/main/client -o ./downloaded-folder

Or using npx:

npx gitfetchpro https://github.com/YugBhanushali/git-fetch-pro/tree/main/client -o ./downloaded-folder

This command will clone the src folder from the specified GitHub repository into the downloaded-folder directory.
