Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

GIT INSTALL RUN-TESTS RUN (GIRTR)

PURPOSE

The purpose of this tool is to simplify the process of pulling down code for Github, installing dependencies, run all appropriate unit tests and than run the app.

It was written for the specific purpose of helping grade assignments for Bloc, but you might find another purpose for it.

It currently supports Javascript (using Node JS) and Ruby on Rails.

INSTALLATION

npm install --g girtr

USAGE

girtr [gitUrl] [-b BRANCH (optional)]

Branch defaults to Master if no other is specified.

NEXT STEPS

I have no planned enhancements at this time. If you have some improvements, such as adding additional language support, feel free to submit a PR.
