Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

generator-zumean

A clever Yeoman generator for MEAN stack applications. Start coding in a very short time!

Frameworks Used:

Prerequisites

First, install Yeoman and generator-zumean using npm (we assume you have pre-installed node.js).

Install Gulp

Install Bower

Install Git

If you want to generate a Node.js/MongoDB back-end install Mongo DB on your machine and start it (mongod). Installation guides

If you want to use Sails Framework install it.

Installation

npm install -g yo
npm install -g generator-zumean

Then create an empty folder and go in it. Now generate your project. Run zumean and answer a few questions.

yo zumean

Now, go in FE directory and launch:

gulp

In 'dist' folder you will find your webapp ready to deploy.

With Sails.js

Copy all the content in dist folder to BE/assets/ and from the directory BE launch:

npm install
sails lift
Without Sails.js

Copy all the content in dist folder to BE/public/ and from the directory BE launch:

npm install
gulp
npm start

Your website will be waiting for you at http://localhost:3000/
