Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

fsdev-cli

fsdev-cli is a command-line interface tool designed to streamline the process of creating various types of applications, including React.js web apps, React Native mobile apps, Express.js apps, and GraphQL apps.

Installation

To install fsdev-cli globally, run the following command:

npm install -g fsdev-cli

Usage

After installation, you can use the CLI tool by running:

fsdev create

This command will start an interactive process to create a new application.

Available Options

The CLI will guide you through the following options:

  1. Choose the type of app:

    • Web App (React.js)
    • Mobile App (React Native)
    • Express.js App
    • GraphQL App
  2. Name your app

  3. For React.js and React Native apps, you can select additional features:

    • Use TypeScript
    • Add State Management (Redux, MobX, or Recoil)
    • Add Router (for React.js apps only)

Examples

Creating a React.js Web App

fsdev create

Then follow the prompts:

  1. Select "Web App (React.js)"
  2. Enter your app name
  3. Choose additional features as needed

Creating a React Native Mobile App

fsdev create

Then follow the prompts:

  1. Select "Mobile App (React Native)"
  2. Enter your app name
  3. Choose additional features as needed

Creating an Express.js App

fsdev create

Then follow the prompts:

  1. Select "Express.js App"
  2. Enter your app name

Creating a GraphQL App

fsdev create

Then follow the prompts:

  1. Select "GraphQL App"
  2. Enter your app name
