in late 1986, the laser was again revamped, this time with more changes to the front and back, as well as a new bonnet. the headlights were now a more modern design, and the car's front bumper was also redesigned. the bonnet was redesigned with a narrower and shorter design.


the laser was introduced in australia with a black dashboard and a black interior, and all laser models were available in a number of different colours for the external body. in march 1985, an optional colour called 'desert blue' was added to the laser range, and was available for 2 years. this was a dark metallic blue.
