Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

but there are also a few things to keep in mind while playing this game. you always start with a certain amount of adventure points. these are used to scout your surroundings, get fuel, help in finding and using the submarine's systems, and to look for hidden loot as well. these are divided into two categories: extreme adventure points and adventure points. the extreme points are not refilled like the adventure points, and are used only once. they are a great tool for finding all that cool junk that can be picked up while exploring. however, i found that i hardly ever used these, so i switched to the "regular" points.

some adventures are easier and shorter than others. for example, a common recurring task is refueling the vessel. it's fairly easy to find and use the submarine's fuel-filling facility, however, it takes a lot of time. that's why the refilling of the vessel is, in most situations, not a priority.

you also have a lot of fuel. i found i always had about enough to get to the end of the first area. the other thing is the submarine's power. it is possible to carry a certain amount of battery, the use of which enables the boat to go faster. once the battery is empty, the power is depleted. the downside is that the battery is recharged only when the submarine comes near a power-station. you need to keep your eye on that little bar to keep the power up.

but the coolest thing about this particular game is the underwater location. it's a really lovely aspect of the game, and it is a fairly large one. so you will be in a world of endless caverns, filled with shiny decorations, and scattered with a lot of loot. 84d34552a1
