Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

express-folderify

A CLI tool to quickly set up a folder structure for a Node.js Express server, making it easy to get started on your next web application.

Installation

You can install express-folderify globally using npm:

npm install -g express-folderify

Usage

After installing, you can create a new Express app folder structure by running the following command:

express-folderify --name your-app-name

Replace your-app-name with the desired name for your application. For example:

express-folderify --name my-new-app

This command will create a new directory called my-new-app with the following structure:

my-new-app/
├── src/
│   ├── controllers/
│   ├── models/
│   ├── routes/
│   └── server.js
├── config/
└── .env

Features

Quickly generates a standard folder structure for Express applications. Automatically installs required dependencies. Allows you to specify the project name.
