Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Ethers Quorum

npm (tag)

Complete Ethereum library and wallet implementation in JavaScript, with support for Quorum

Features:

  • Interact with Quorum blockchain
  • Interact with external signer outside geth
  • Interact with internal signer within geth
  • Add new getQuorumPayload wrapper in PrivateProvider
  • Specify privateFor, privacyFlag (Optional) and mandatoryFor (Optional) for private transactions
  • Don't pass in privateFor for public transactions
  • Don't pass in signer URL into getPrivateSigner to fallback to unlocked geth keys

| Type | Private Txn | Public Txn | | ------------------ | ----------- | ---------- | | External Signer | ☑ | ☑ | | Geth Unlocked Keys | ☑ | ☑ |

Installing

node.js

/home/user/some_project> npm install --save ethers-quorum

Examples

Deploy private contract:

import { PrivateJsonRpcProvider, PrivateWallet, PrivateContractFactory } from 'ethers-quorum';
import { getAbiBytecode } from './loader.js';
import * as dotenv from 'dotenv';

async function main() {
  dotenv.config();
  const obj = await getAbiBytecode(
    'contracts/SimpleStorage_sol_Storage.abi',
    'contracts/SimpleStorage_sol_Storage.bin',
  );
  const provider = new PrivateJsonRpcProvider(process.env.url, parseInt(process.env.network), process.env.tesseraUrl);
  const signer = new PrivateWallet(process.env.pk, provider);
  // const signer = provider.getPrivateSigner('0xf0E2Db6C8dC6c681bB5D6aD121A107f300e9B2b5', 'http://localhost:8630'); // alternative way to use external signer or unlocked geth keys
  // signer.setDefaultSendRaw(false); // set to false use unlocked geth keys instead of external signer
  const contract = new PrivateContractFactory(obj.abi, obj.bytecode, signer);
  const contractInstance = await contract.deploy({
    privateFor: ['BULeR8JyUWhiuuCMU/HLA0Q5pzkYT+cHII3ZKBey3Bo='],
  });
  console.log('Contract', contractInstance);
  console.log('Contract address ::', contractInstance.address);
  console.log('Deployed transaction ::', contractInstance.deployTransaction);

  console.log('Deployed SHA3-512 hash of encrypted payload from PTM', contractInstance.deployTransaction.data);
  const unencryptedPayload = await provider.getQuorumPayload(contractInstance.deployTransaction.data);
  console.log('Unencrypted transaction payload in hex format', unencryptedPayload)
}

main();

Interact with private contract via encoded data:

const iface = new ethers.utils.Interface(abi);
const data = iface.encodeFunctionData('store', [25]);
const resp = await signer.sendTransaction({
  to: contract.address,
  gasLimit: 100_000,
  data,
  privateFor: ['BULeR8JyUWhiuuCMU/HLA0Q5pzkYT+cHII3ZKBey3Bo='],
});
console.log('Submitted txn :: ', resp);
resp.wait(); // wait for txn to populate
console.log(await contract.retrieve());

Interact with private contract via contract method:

const resp2 = await contract.store(35, {
  gasLimit: 100_000,
  privateFor: ['BULeR8JyUWhiuuCMU/HLA0Q5pzkYT+cHII3ZKBey3Bo='],
});
console.log('Submitted txn :: ', resp2);
resp2.wait(); // wait for txn to populate
console.log(await contract.retrieve());
