Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Welcome to Espressix!

Espressix is a Web-Application and API template generator npm package that uses Express.js. However, Espressix incorporates ES6 syntax in its framework template rather than ES5.

Espressix also defaults its Templating engine to Pug. However, Espressix offers support for many other different HTML Template engines.

Version 1.0.95 includes:

  • mongoose for managing a MongoDB or MongoDB Atlas database.
  • a .env to keep all important details hidden.
  • a .gitignore file for pushes to a repository

How to Use

First install Espressix: npm install espressix

To generate framework: npx espressix

Next install all dependencies into local node_modules folder: npm install

To start server: npm start
