Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Installation

ember install ember-aupac-control

//Bootstrap
app.import('node_modules/bootstrap/dist/css/bootstrap.css');
app.import('node_modules/bootstrap/dist/css/bootstrap.css.map', {
  destDir: 'assets'
});
app.import('node_modules/bootstrap/dist/fonts/glyphicons-halflings-regular.eot', {
  destDir: 'fonts'
});
app.import('node_modules/bootstrap/dist/fonts/glyphicons-halflings-regular.ttf', {
  destDir: 'fonts'
});
app.import('node_modules/bootstrap/dist/fonts/glyphicons-halflings-regular.svg', {
  destDir: 'fonts'
});
app.import('node_modules/bootstrap/dist/fonts/glyphicons-halflings-regular.woff', {
  destDir: 'fonts'
});
app.import('node_modules/bootstrap/dist/fonts/glyphicons-halflings-regular.woff2', {
  destDir: 'fonts'
});

Decorate any control

Simply wrap any control with the aupac-control wrapper to get access to:

  • Bootstrap validations messages. You can pass an array of errors and they will show up.
  • Support for input bootstrap addons styled with glyphicons or font-awesome
  • Mandatory field displayed using an asterisk

Usage

  {{#aupac-control label="age"  mandatory=true errors=errors.age}}
    {{!-- Inside the component block use any control you like --}}
    {{input type="number" class="form-control" value=age}}
  {{/aupac-control}}

  * Note - errors.age is where ember-validation stores it's validation array for age.

Parameters

  • errors : (array: default []) an array of error for the control, only the first error will be shown to the user at any time.
  • mandatory : (boolean: default false) if true will add an asterisk before the label
  • label : (string: default '') label to show above the control
  • feedbackErrorIcon: (string: default 'glyphicon glyphicon-remove') icon to display when a control is in error
  • leftIcon: (string: default '') classes to be placed to the left of the control
  • rightIcon: (string: default '') classes to be placed to the right of the control
  • canShowErrors: (boolean: default false) if set to true with show errors on page load
