Dockerize for NodeJS applications
A command-line utility to help you dockerize your NodeJS applications.
Installation
npm install -g dockerize2
Usage
cd /your/app/directory
dockerize2 build --tag some/tag --env NODE_ENV=production
docker run -it your/tag
# Learn more with `dockerize2 --help`
Notes
- This utility assumes that your application can be started by running
npm start
. - If you have a build-step you want to run before building an image, make sure it is defined in the "prepublish" npm script.
- The Docker image generated is based off of the official NodeJS docker image: change this by passing the
--base/-i
option when building:dockerize2 build -t some/tag -i some/image
