Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

IP-Symcon plugin for homebridge

Installation (Debian)

  • Install Debian 8.2 (Jessie)
  • Install dependencies (e.g. NodeJS, NPM):
    $ sudo apt-get install libavahi-compat-libdnssd-dev
    $ sudo apt-get install libkrb5-dev
    $ sudo wget -qO- https://deb.nodesource.com/setup_5.x | sudo bash -
    $ sudo apt-get install nodejs
    $ sudo apt-get install build-essential
    $ sudo apt-get install git
  • Install Homebridge
    $ sudo npm install -g homebridge
  • Install Symcon-Plugin for Homebridge
    $ sudo npm install -g homebridge-symcon
  • Create Homebridge configuration file 'config.json' in Directory .homebridge in user home (see config-sample.json)
  • Start Homebridge
    $ homebridge
