Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Delay actions

A flexible delay utility for Node.js.

Installation

You can install Delay actions via npm:

npm install delay-actions

Usage

import { Delay } from 'delay-actions';

// Create a new Delay instance
const delay = new Delay();

// Start a delay for 1000 milliseconds
delay.start(1000, () => {
    console.log('Delay completed');
});

// Pause the delay
delay.pause();

// Resume the delay

Class representing a flexible delay utility.

Properties

  • timerId: NodeJS.Timeout | null - Gets the timer ID of the current delay.
  • startTime: number | null - Gets the start time of the current delay.
  • isPaused: boolean - Gets the pause status of the current delay.

Methods

  • start(ms: number, action: () => void): Promise<void> - Starts a delay for the specified duration.
  • pause(): void - Pauses the current delay.
  • resume(): Promise<void> - Resumes a paused delay.
  • cancel(): void - Cancels the current delay.
