defe()
A simple, 144 bytes, ES5 compatible and standalone implementation of the
deprecated Promise.defer()
method.
Usage
const defe = require('defe')
function awesomeSomeStuff () {
const deferred = defe()
setTimeout(() => deferred.resolve(), 1000)
return deferred.promise
}
awesomeSomeStuff().then(() => console.log('I will run one second later'))
By default defe()
will use the global Promise
object, but you can specify
another constructor.
const deferred = defe(Bluebird)
deferred.promise
.map(() => 'Hey!')
.filter(t => !!t)
.then(result => console.log(result))
