Iris Versicolor Sepal
Edgar Anderson's data for Iris versicolor sepal length and width.
Installation
$ npm install datasets-iris-versicolor-sepal
For use in the browser, use browserify.
Usage
var data = require( 'datasets-iris-versicolor-sepal' );
data.len
Edgar Anderson's data for Iris versicolor sepal length.
console.log( data.len );
// returns [ 7, 6.4, 6.9, ... ]
data.width
Edgar Anderson's data for Iris versicolor sepal width.
console.log( data.width );
// returns [ 3.2, 3.2, 3.1, ... ]
Examples
var toMatrix = require( 'compute-to-matrix' ),
mean = require( 'compute-mean' ),
variance = require( 'compute-variance' ),
data = require( 'datasets-iris-versicolor-sepal' );
// Convert the data arrays to a matrix:
var mat = toMatrix( [ data.len, data.width ] );
// Calculate the sample mean along the rows:
console.log( mean( mat ).toString() );
// Calculate the sample variance along the rows:
console.log( variance( mat ).toString() );
To run the example code from the top-level application directory,
$ node ./examples/index.js

Tests
Unit
Unit tests use the Mocha test framework with Chai assertions. To run the tests, execute the following command in the top-level application directory:
$ make test
All new feature development should have corresponding unit tests to validate correct functionality.
Test Coverage
This repository uses Istanbul as its code coverage tool. To generate a test coverage report, execute the following command in the top-level application directory:
$ make test-cov
Istanbul creates a ./reports/coverage
directory. To access an HTML version of the report,
$ make view-cov
