Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

i have heard that darkstorm does not work with some mesh-generating tools. i have not heard if it is true or not, but i have heard that some meshheads do not work in darkstorm. also i have heard that some other things might not work in darkstorm. this is not a fact, and i don't have any other information.

this is a combination viewer, which allows you to have both a secondlife-like gui and a lightweight view for non graphical operations. for example, if you want to connect to a grid, you can choose to display a graphical window, or a text list. you can also select which side you want to use. this can be useful if you want to use a gui for common operations, but want to connect to a server using only text commands.

this is the viewer of choice for people who want the ability to connect to a grid using an alternative client than what is bundled with second life, such as opensim or darkstorm. this viewer does not work with lindenlab's second life viewer, but it does work with opensim, darkstorm, and firestorm. while it is possible to use it with any 3d virtual world, the supported grids are linden lab, opensim, and darkstorm.

this viewer is a hybrid viewer. it has a gui mode, but the gui is optional, and is only useful if you want to connect to a grid. the non-graphical mode is very light weight, and can be used to connect to a grid, edit your inventory, chat, and do any other non-graphical operation that the gui mode can do.

darkstorm viewer is a popular viewer for dark users. the viewer is not in the default branch of the darkstorm repository, but users can install the viewer themselves, as any other viewer. darkstorm viewer provides the following features: 84d34552a1
