Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

plugin-generator-cli

CLI Tool for generating C# Plugin Files based on Templates. Currently only generates Late Bound Plugins.

This tool is a work in progress.

Installation

# Using npm, installing to local project
npm i --save d365-plugin-generator

# Using npm, installing globally for global cli usage
npm i -g d365-plugin-generator

# Using yarn
yarn add d365-plugin-generator

Options

  • File Path: Determines the File Path for the Selected Template Folder

  • Project Templates:

    • Simple Plugin: Early Bound Plugin. All Stages and Messages selected will be generated in a single file. Requires the Helper File (included).
  • Namespace: The Namespace of the Plugin

  • Class Name: The Class Name of the Plugin

  • Entity: The Logical Name of the entity

  • Configuration (Messages and Stages):

    • Create
      • Pre-Validation
      • Pre-Operation
      • Post-Operation
    • Update
      • Pre-Validation
      • Pre-Operation
      • Post-Operation
    • Delete
      • Pre-Validation

Templates

Simple Plugin

Generates the following files

  • helper.cs: A helper file that contains Message and Stage constants.
  • simplePlugin.cs: A Plugin Class File based on the configuration setting specified in the CLI.
  • simplePluginFull.cs: A Plugin Class File with all Messages and Stages populated.
