Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

cycurid-widget-js

cycurid-widget-js is CycurID's solution to authentication and onboarding through the power of a Reusable Digital Identity Token. Users register with CycurID to create a Reusable Encrypted Zero-Knowledge Identity Token that they present to your company's onboarding or authentication platform, letting them seamlessly and instantly connect.

Installation

Use the package manager npm to install cycurid-widget-js.

npm install cycurid-widget-js

Usage

Import

IMPORT IN REACT:

import { cycuridConnectInitialize, cycuridConnectLogout } from "cycurid-widget-js";

Supported methods

cycuridConnectInitialize

This is the main function to use for authentication. Invoking this function will do the whole login flow and generate an access token, refresh token and access token expiry date. The token is then used to fetch the specified scope after successful login and verification by the user.

import { cycuridConnectInitialize } from 'cycurid-widget-js';

const config = {
  action: '<YOUR_ACTION>',
  client_id: '<YOUR_CLIENT_ID>',
  client_secret: '<YOUR_CLIENT_SECRET>',
  redirect_uri: '<YOUR_REDIRECT_URI>',
  scopes: ['<YOUR_SCOPES_ARRAY>'],
};

const onSuccess = (userInfo, token) => {<YOUR_ONSUCCESS_FUNCTION>}
const onFailure = (token) => {<YOUR_ONFAILURE_FUNCTION>}

const result = await cycuridConnectInitialize(config,onSuccess,onFailure);

cycuridConnectLogout

This function will revoke the OAuth token.

import { cycuridConnectLogout } from "cycurid-widget-js";

const logout = await cycuridConnectLogout(token, client_id, client_secret);

config

This is your configuration object for the client. The config is passed into each of the methods with optional overrides.

  • action - This specifies the objective that you want the user to accomplish currently, we support 'login' and 'register'.
  • client_id - The ID provided to you from CycurID Portal Website see Account Creation for more details.
  • client_secret - The Secret provided to you from CycurID Portal Website see Account Creation for more details.
  • origin_url - This is the URL that the request is initially used to initiate the OAuth process. This URL needs to match the provided URL associated with the client account. The widget response will be sent to this address.
  • entity_name - OPTIONAL_KEY, this will change the name displayed on the widget.
  • scopes - An array of what user information you want to be returned.
