css-minify
a css-compression tool
Install:
Global:
yarn global add css-minify
or
npm install css-minify -g
Local
yarn add css-minify
or
npm install css-minify
Usage:
CLI
If you want to deal with a single css file,you can do it like this:
css-minify -f filename
or
css-minify --file filename
If no file / dir are specified, check if STDIN has data, and if so, run the minifier and print on STDOUT
> echo "body { color: #ff0000; }" | node bin/css-minify.js
body{color:red}
Warning:
Be sure that filename must be ended with ".css"
However,if you have too many css files to deal with,you can do it like this:
css-minify -d sourcedir
or
css-minify --dir sourcedir
And then, if you want to specify output directory, use -o
or output
like below(introduced in 1.1.0):
css-minify -d sourcedir -o distdir
or
css-minify --dir sourcedir --output distdir
Tips:
All css source files are in the sourcedir directory
At last, you will see the minified css file, which is ended with .min.css
in directory specified by -o
or --output
, which is css-dist
by default.
