Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

cordova-build-increment

Release Notes

v0.1.0 Added support for OS X with osx-CFBundleVersion tag. Added version tag increment. Added command line option flags

Tested up to [email protected]

See Usage section below for options flag info

Install

Install the following package below inside of your app's root folder.

$ npm install cordova-build-increment

A scripts/ folder will be created with the 'incrementBuildNum.js' file in it

Then add the following to your app's config.xml file:

<hook src="scripts/incrementBuildNum.js" type="after_build"/>

Script is designed to increment the android-versionCode, ios-CFBundleVersion, osx-CFBundleVersion and windows-packageVersion fields for additional versioning or simply the version tag in the config.xml file.

Usage

By default this hook is enabled for all builds and will increment platform specific version numbers.

With v0.1.0 the hook now supports option flags so that the script itself does not need to be edited before use. It also allows for direct incrementing of the version tag.

Use the following option flags when executing cordova build:

--no-inc - no increments processed for this build (overrides other option flags)

--inc-version - the version tag will be incremented for this build

--no-platform-inc - platform specific version tags will not be incremented for this build

Version Format

Android:

X

  • Cordova will throw an error if android-versionCode is not an integer value
iOS and OS X:

X

X.X

X.X.X

Windows:

X.X.X.X

** Leading zeros not removed

** The hook will not currently increment any build versions without the formats above (i.e., non numeric version tags)

Release History

v0.0.6 Minor error handling changes. Tested up to cordova 6.0.0

v0.0.5 Supports versioning for Windows with 'windows-packageVersion' in config.xml
