Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

A fun easy little hack to get random Chuck Norris jokes in your terminal. Also have the option to pass in a different name. Feel free to submit a pull request to make this better.

How to get it working

Clone the project

git clone https://github.com/ImagineDesignDevelop/chuck_norris_terminal_jokes.git

Create an alias

alias norris="/directory/project/was/cloned/to/chuck-norris.sh" 

To always be able to run it add your alias to your .bashrc or .zshrc

alias norris="/directory/project/was/cloned/to/chuck-norris.sh" >> $HOME/.bashrc

Now you can type in your terminal

$ norris
Chuck Norris can access the DB from the UI.

$ norris John Doe
John Doe knows the value of NULL, and he can sort by it too.
