Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Casefyer

Casefyer is a simple and versatile npm package for converting text into various cases, such as uppercase, lowercase, sentence case, title case, alternating case, and inverse case. It's designed to help developers quickly and efficiently transform text.

Installation

This is a Node.js module available through the npm registry.

Before installing, download and install Node.js. Node.js 0.10 or higher is required.

If this is a brand new project, make sure to create a package.json first with the npm init command.

Installation is done using the npm install command:

To install casefyer, use npm:

$ npm install casefyer

Features

  • Uppercase Conversion: Convert any text to uppercase letters.
  • Lowercase Conversion: Convert any text to lowercase letters.
  • Sentence Case Conversion: Automatically capitalize the first letter of each sentence.
  • Title Case Conversion: Capitalize the first letter of each word in the text.
  • Alternating Case Conversion: Convert text such that every other letter is capitalized.
  • Inverse Case Conversion: Invert the case of each letter (uppercase becomes lowercase and vice versa).
  • Batch Processing: Process an array of strings and convert them to the desired case in one function call.
  • Lightweight: Minimal dependencies to keep your project lean and efficient.
