Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

The express framework.

Build backend applications with zero configuration, typescript support, and schema validations in seconds. Inspired in NextJs ♥

Getting started

  • Create a folder for your project and install carpincho
npm i carpincho
  • Add scripts to your package.json

  "start": "node dist/index.js",
  "build": "carpincho"
}
  • Create a folder named routes and inside, add a file index.api.ts:

};
  • Thats it, run npm run build to build your express api and npm run start to start the server.
  • Open localhost:3000 to see your api in action 🚀

Route parameters

Use $id in folders or files to define paraeters for the urls.

Using Typescript

To start using typescript in an existing project, create an empty tsconfig.json file in the root folder:

touch tsconfig.json

Carpincho will configure this file with default values. Or you can edit it to your needs.
