Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

capture one's dng converter for lightroom is the only application that can directly convert dng to cr2, dng to nef, dng to cr2+nef, and dng to tiff. an easy-to-use, powerful, and efficient dng file converter, it lets you quickly convert your raw images from almost all cameras, use your preferred raw image editor, or open your edited raw images in capture one for the best possible result.

it's a great little trick for the digital world, this technique, but it can work really well with film as well. the down side is that the preview image is a little inaccurate, and the whole thing is pretty quick. that being said, you can try a few different things, and it's a pretty simple process. to get started, just follow the steps below.

this method of creating a motion picture is often referred to as in-camera or light-room animation. it's a special kind of motion graphics that can be used in any kind of video. in this tutorial, photographer and filmmaker, laurie hamilton, gives you a step-by-step overview of this effect. she's used the process to create a few still images for her friends and family.

capture one's extremely powerful image adjustment tools make it a very versatile camera raw editor. and in a tight time frame like the one that we had, the adjustment tools work better than any other tool that i've used. for example, the exposure tools really come in handy. you can perform spot adjustment on your image, or you can use the hue/saturation tool to change the color of your image.

while we've been discussing the power of camera raw software, it's also pretty easy to figure out how to make a time-lapse like this one. the process is really easy. here's how to get started. step 1: start the time-lapse in capture one. step 2: open the keyframes by clicking the green plus sign in the timeline, and then drag the green arrow to the left to create an in-between frame. 84d34552a1
