Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

bumpvr

bumpvr is a tool for automating the process of bumping version numbers in your Node.js project's package.json.

  • Supports NPM workspaces (monorepo).
  • Supports replacing local depenedencies (file:...) among NPM workspace projects.

Installation

npm install -g bumpvr

Usage

bumpvr [options] <version>

For example,

bumpvr 1.2.3

will bump the version number in your package.json and in the package.json files of all the projects in your NPM workspace to 1.2.3.

Options

| Option | Description | | --- | --- | | --cwd | The directory where the package.json file is located. Default is the current working directory. | | --no-semver | Do not validate the version number against the Semantic Versioning specification. |
