Important Notes
- When using the command line tool your password will not be hidden when writing it!
- This command line tool only operates locally. It does not require any connection to function and it won't use your credentials. Its solely job is to create a local file with them stored.
- The .npmrc file generated by this tool DOES NOT offer any kind of security (such as cryptography) about the username and password stored locally. PLEASE BE AWARE OF SECURITY BREACHES for any user that has access to your computer's local user folder
- This tool overwrites any global .npmrc configuration file that already exists and is intended only to facilitate this proccess for people without anything configured. If you are an advanced user, you might not want to use this tool.
