Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Brainstorm Solution Manager

This project, built with Node.js, is designed to efficiently manage and catalog solutions brainstormed during daily sessions. It offers a simple yet powerful way to store, retrieve, and organize ideas and solutions generated by teams or individuals.

Features

  • Add Solutions: Easily add new brainstormed solutions with descriptions.
  • View Solutions: Browse through all stored solutions.
  • Edit Solutions: Update details of existing solutions as they evolve.
  • Delete Solutions: Remove solutions that are no longer relevant.
  • Categorize Solutions: Organize solutions into categories for easy retrieval.
  • Search Functionality: Quickly find solutions using keywords or tags.

Getting Started

These instructions will get you a copy of the project up and running on your local machine for development and testing purposes.

Prerequisites

What you need to install the software:

  • Node.js
  • npm (Node Package Manager)

Installing

A step by step series of examples that tell you how to get a development env running:

  1. Clone the repository:
    git clone https://github.com/yourusername/brainstorm-solution-manager.git
  2. Navigate to the project directory:
    cd brainstorm-solution-manager
  3. Install dependencies:
    npm install
  4. Start the server:
    npm start

The server will start running on http://localhost:3000.

Usage

Here is how you can use the application to manage your solutions:

  • Adding a solution: Navigate to /add and fill in the form with the solution details.
  • Viewing solutions: All solutions can be viewed on the main page.
  • Editing a solution: Click on a solution in the list and modify the details on the provided form.
  • Deleting a solution: Each solution has a 'Delete' button next to it for easy removal.
