Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

BonkBot.js

BonkBot is a JavaScript botting library for hit web game Bonk.io. It provides an easy way to create custom bots that can automate various actions within the game. With BonkBot, you can interact with the game's websocket protocol easily. For example you can chat with other players, and perform actions such as joining and leaving rooms, all within bonkbot.

Installation

To install BonkBot, you will need Node.js installed on your system. Then, run the following command in your terminal:

npm i bonkbot

Usage

To use BonkBot, you'll need to create a bot instance and specify your game account information.

Here's a sample code that demonstrates how to use BonkBot:

const BonkBot = require('bonkbot');

let bot = BonkBot.createBot({
    account: {
        username: "pixelmelt",
        password: `password123`,
        guest: false,
    },
    // skin: '{skin_object_here}'
});

bot.events.on('ready', async () => {
    console.log('Bot is ready');

    // let fromurl = await bot.getAddressFromLink('https://bonk.io/710561')
    let fromroomname = await bot.getAddressFromRoomName("me's game")

    bot.setAddress(fromroomname)
    bot.connect();
});

bot.events.on('connect', () => {
    console.log('Bot connected to room!');

    bot.events.on('packet', async (packet) => {
        bot.autoHandlePacket(packet)
        // ignore spammy packets
        if (packet.type == 'timesync') return;
        if (packet.type == 'ping') return;
        console.log(packet);
    });

    bot.events.on('banned', async () => {
        console.log('Bot was banned from the room!');
    });

    bot.events.on('disconnected', async () => {
        console.log('Bot disconnected from the room!');
    });

    bot.events.on('chatmessage', async (playerchatevent) => {
        let pce = playerchatevent
        console.log(`${pce.username}: ${pce.message}`);

        // commands!
        if(pce.message == "!ping"){
            bot.chat("Pong!");
        }
    });

    bot.events.on('join', async (playerjoinevent) => {
        let joiningPlayer = bot.getPlayerByID(playerjoinevent.id)
        console.log(`${joiningPlayer.username} joined the room!`);
    })

    bot.events.on('leave', async (playerleaveevent) => {
        let leavingPlayer = bot.getPlayerByID(playerleaveevent.id)
        console.log(`${leavingPlayer.username} left the room!`);
    })
});

bot.init();
