Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

Eviews 2018 is a complete re-write of the Eviews 2017 software. This release has all the bells and whistles you could want in a modern software package. There are many new features and improvements including better stability, easier data management and much more.

I've tried to use pre-released versions of Eviews in the past, but I just couldn't stand the buggy nature of the software. I couldn't believe it was able to stay on top for all of this time without critical flaws. I was very surprised when I saw the new 2017 version. I was blown away by the speed with which the new Eviews was able to operate. It simply runs like a charm! It couldn't be easier to work with and the more I used it, the more useful I found it to be. I did my homework and started the process of migrating a large number of sound files from Eviews 5.0 to a new Eviews 2017. So far, I'm really happy with the new software. Oh, and the rendering engine improved as well, since it now uses a much smaller memory footprint. I estimate that I'm saving at least 30% off my memory usage now. That's huge if you are using large render settings. I have been giving a lot of thought to using Eviews as my go-to DAW for all types of work and projects, but I'm still using Cubase 7 for this use (plus I'm addicted to audio plugins). I am currently in the process of migrating to the new software. 84d34552a1
