Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

avaamoanswers-vtt

A utility to convert .VTT files to Avaamo Answers ingestables

Usage

Current stable release (1.4.x);

$ npx avaamoanswers-vtt

NOTE: You will need to run this from the directory which holds the .VTT files

Running the package

First, ensure that you have permission to the agent where you want to upload, and make sure that you place the agent in edit mode.

Open up a terminal and navigate to the folder where you have all the .vtt files saved from the above step. Next, run the package using the following command

$ npx avaamoanswers-vtt

This script will ask you to provide a few inputs to upload the videos to the answers skill

  • From a list of files, it will ask you to select a file to parse and upload, select a .vtt file here
  • Url of the video, this could be a youtube or microsoft streams URL - https://share.getcloudapp.com/KouBKlKO
  • Dashboard access token, from the Users and Roles page - https://share.getcloudapp.com/WnubXl9e
  • URL for the Answers skill - https://share.getcloudapp.com/bLujQ0Xz
  • Save configuration, if you save the configuration, the script will not ask you for the token and the skill URL again.
