Optimize Toolset

I’ve always been into building performant and accessible sites, but lately I’ve been taking it extremely seriously. So much so that I’ve been building a tool to help me optimize and monitor the sites that I build to make sure that I’m making an attempt to offer the best experience to those who visit them. If you’re into performant, accessible and SEO friendly sites, you might like it too! You can check it out at Optimize Toolset.

About

Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

If you’re interested in other things I’m working on, follow me on Twitter or check out the open source projects I’ve been publishing on GitHub.

I am also working on a Twitter bot for this site to tweet the most popular, newest, random packages from npm. Please follow that account now and it will start sending out packages soon–ish.

Open Software & Tools

This site wouldn’t be possible without the immense generosity and tireless efforts from the people who make contributions to the world and share their work via open source initiatives. Thank you 🙏

(REMAKE) APlayer - a lovely HTML5 music player

GitHub package.json version

Original Repository: DIYgod/APlayer

Visit the original repository for further information. Here are only differences from that.

Install

NPM

Note that the name of this package is "aplayer-remake".

Changed APIs

ap.list.add(audios, index = null)

Parameters:

  • audios: audio or list of audios
  • index: position to be added

Development

Install dependencies

APlayer depends on node-sass, which needs node-gyp to compile. So the compilation environment should be prepared well.

This issue mentions some combinations of basic factors (e.g. Node version, C++ compilation flags). One possible environment is:

  • Node version: v16.15.1
  • yarn version: v1.22.19
  • C++ compilation flags: --std=c++14

So to install the dependencies, first install gcc and make, which are probably already stored in package repositories of your distro (follow the instructions for your current distro). Then clone the repo and change directory into it:

git clone https://github.com/LittleYe233/APlayer.git
cd APlayer

Make sure yarn is installed:

npm install -g yarn

After that install all the dependencies with appropriate compilation flags:

CXXFLAGS="--std=c++14" yarn

Now the repo is ready for development and test.

Demo

The scripts and code of demo are almost located in demo/ subfolder. You can execute npm run start in terminal to launch the demo.

Note that it won't open in browser by default. To change this behavior, edit webpack/dev.config.js and find devServer field:

devServer: {
    compress: true,
    contentBase: path.resolve(__dirname, '..', 'demo'),
    clientLogLevel: 'none',
    quiet: false,
    open: false,
    historyApiFallback: {
        disableDotRule: true,
    },
    watchOptions: {
        ignored: /node_modules/,
    },
},

Change the value of open to true.

In the original repo, most resource links can't be reached for restriction (will return 403 error). You can download essential assets from here.

Major updates

  • Add more descriptions on development guide and demo.
  • Replace unreachable links.
  • Expand panel of fixed player to full width of the current webpage.
  • Allow to add songs at any index of playlist.
  • Some APIs are added, removed and changed.
