Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Node.JS AMQP Worker Engine

Consume work from specified work queue and notify MQ Broker once the work is complete.

Work Message Format

Work message is parsed as an object to the Work Function.

The message published to work queue MUST BE conform to the following format.

  name: string,
  args: object  // Optional
}

Work Function

Work Function takes two arguments

  1. Work Object

    which is the work to be done classified by its name.

    Any additional inputs is given to work function in args.

    args can either be object or array

  2. Ack Callback

    the callback function, MUST BE called right after the work is done to notify MQ Broker that we have completed the given work.
