Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Word Counter CLI

Count words and letters with ease in your terminal!

This command-line application allows you to quickly count the number of words and letters in any text you provide. It features a user-friendly interface with a banner, prompts, and a visual spinner for an engaging experience.

Installation and Setup

1- Prerequisites:

Node.js and npm (or yarn)

2- Install dependencies:

npm install

Usage

1- Run the application:

npx ameer-word-counter

Follow the prompts:

  • Enter the text you want to analyze when prompted.
  • Choose whether to exit or count another text section.

Features

- Visual banner: Welcomes you with a clear title and description.
- User-friendly prompts: Guides you through the process using interactive prompts.
- Word and letter counting: Accurately counts the number of words and letters in the provided text.
- Visual spinner: Provides a visual indication of processing while counting.
- Exit confirmation: Allows you to easily exit the application when finished.
