Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

This is just some scaffolding code for creating a simple filter then open url alfred workflow.

Install

npm install alfred-scaffold -g

Use

new-alfred-workflow --name <name>

This creates a new directory with all the files needed to build your extension.

Instructions to build your extension

To create a simple filter -> openurl workflow:

  • edit src/workflow.js; use the alfredo module to generate candidate items for feedback.
  • put your filter and workflow icons into the images folder
  • Update package.json with name, author, description and relative icon paths.
  • make -f makefile.mk pack to create the alfred workflow in the same directory. It will use package.json information
