About Appear

At Appear, we develop a mobility platform (Appear IQ a.k.a AIQ) that helps you create enterprise-ready, cross-platform mobile apps. In short, we provide the necessary communication and security frameworks that you can use from your preferred technology stacks (i.e. AngularJS, Backbone.js, Sencha Touch, etc.). This module helps you easily manage your apps lifecycles, incl the distribution onto mobile devices: generation > publication > update > deletion

Prerequisites

• NodeJS

  • Mac/Win - use package from the URL above

  • Linux (debian-based) - run:

    sudo add-apt-repository ppa:chris-lea/node.js
    sudo apt-get update
    sudo apt-get install nodejs

Installation

$ npm install -g aiq

Usage

$ aiq

Usage: aiq [options] [command]

Commands:

  user                           display information about the current session
  login [options]                authenticate against the platform and stores the access token
  logout                         destroy the stored access token
  list                           display the list of apps on the platform
  generate [options] [path]      generate a boilerplate app
  publish [options] [path]       publish a new app to the platform
  update [options] [path]        update an existing app
  unpublish [options]            remove a specific app from the platform
  run [options] [path]           run the app in a local Node.js WebServer
  logs [options] <ip>            show container logs

Options:

  -h, --help     output usage information
  -v, --version  output the AIQ mobile sdk version

Testing

In order to test a specific branch:

• Clone the repository & checkout to the specific branch
• Run npm i in the root of the repository
• Run ./bin/aiq
