Hi, 👋, I’m Ryan Hefner  and I built this site for me, and you! The goal of this site was to provide an easy way for me to check the stats on my npm packages, both for prioritizing issues and updates, and to give me a little kick in the pants to keep up on stuff.

As I was building it, I realized that I was actually using the tool to build the tool, and figured I might as well put this out there and hopefully others will find it to be a fast and useful way to search and browse npm packages as I have.

Simple Chat Application with Node.js

Description

This project is a simple chat application built using Node.js and Socket.io. It allows users to send real-time messages to each other in a chat room.

Prerequisites

Make sure you have Node.js and npm installed on your computer. You can download them from nodejs.org.

Installation

Follow these steps to install and run the chat application:

  1. Clone the repository:
    git clone https://github.com/miftah1231/acertea.git
    
  2. Add cd
    cd acertea
    npm install
  3. Write the code (Create name file server.js)

  1. Create a directory named public inside your project directory and add a file named index.html
  1. Running the Application To run the application, use the following command in your terminal:
    node server.js
       

Open your browser and navigate to http://localhost:3000 to access the chat application.
